    Flex Fuel Upgrade Package

Do you want more power, feel like you should have more power, or you just want run cheaper but much better fuel? We got you taken care of. We have packaged together what we believe is the best package for you. E85 and Deatschwerks combined make the best product for your vehicle. The flex fuel unit uses the top of the line products that doesn't fail. Allows your car to read the ethanol levels sending the most accurate signal to your ecu to configure for the different ethanol levels. Deatschwerks has been one of the most popular brands when it comes to the Frs/Brz and theres a reason for it. Their pump is one of the few "True" compact drop in pumps. Their fiter design allows the pump to fit in there with the housing to seal around and they are quiet and reliable turbine impeller. The injectors provide the best spray pattern and atomization for optimized idle and tuning being within 1-2% accurate of a flow chart. Plus all these products are E85 compatible! So this is why we believe that is the best kit out there for you.

    Why E85?

E85 contains 75-85% ethanol depending on the time of year. Which Ill get to in a little bit. E85 has a much greater latent heat of vaporization than gasoline (burns at a much cooler temp), cooling the intake charge and thus increasing its air density-rather like intercooling or water-alcohol injection. Which is comparable to a 105 octane pump gas vs 91 octante. That allows you to run more compression, more boost, and more spark advance without damaging the engine with knock, and make more power. Ethanol also presents no hazard whatsoever to oxygen sensors and catalytic converters, a definite plus. So with all that being said we have seen increase of power from 5% to 30% depending if naturally aspirated or boost applications.

Now for the downfall. E85 burns roughly 20-25% more than pump gas (91oct). Affecting your mpg but than again E85 prices are bit cheaper to help out on that. So while you might not be getting the best mpg, most of us don't mind when we are chasing more horsepower. That is the reason we need bigger injectors, and fuel pump when going e85, on top of more horsepower needing more fuel. E85 also is more corrosive, with the FRS/BRZ being a newer car. The standards with manufactures have gone up and are made to withstand higher ethanol levels roughly 20% compared to older vehicles, its not as bad on the fuel lines/fuel tank etc. You still dont want to let E85 sit in your tank over the winter while in storage.
