This Cusco 1.5-way limited-slip diff replaces the factory front differential.
Type MZ limited slip differential is designed where the activation pressure opposes the direction of the initial torque with the utilization of the cone spring. The LSD operation first becomes engaged when the opposing pressures start working against one another.
The Type MZ features the highest rated initial torque rating than the rest of any other Cusco LSD models. This is due to the high pressure cone spring which engages full clutch pack lock at a linear rate.
What is Spec-F?
An option on most Cusco LSDs, Spec-F denotes a flat-friction disc. Versus the standard diffs' friction clutch discs, the Spec-F friction discs result in smoother, gentler, and milder engagement of torque. Spec-F is ideal for most street cars and casual track drivers and reacts smoother to gentle throttle inputs. Non-Spec-F diffs will engage more aggressively for quicker torque engagement, ideal for inducing oversteer or sharpening corner entry in the hands of skilled drivers but is not the most stable or easy-going setup for more casual enthusiasts.
