Designed for vehicles driven hard on track, RP-X™ possesses a high friction level of 0.55 between 0 – 750°C (Ambient – 1400°F) and achieves a 100% brake effect from cold. This makes RP-X™ an excellent choice for sprint racing or hill climb events, where full brake performance is essential without requiring any ‘warming up’, but also makes RP-X™ well suited to any type of circuit use where a high initial bite and powerful brake response is desirable.

RP-1 vs. RPX Brake Pads:

"Since both RP-1™ and RP-X™ have a flat friction response coupled with near identical fade resistance, it isn’t a case of one material being ‘better’ than the other. It’s more a case of the driver choosing what ‘feels best’ in their own opinion, whilst also factoring in any other modifications made to their vehicles brake system as explained above. In other words, they're near-identically performing track pads yet deliver different pedal feels depending on driver preference.

• RP-X pads suited for soft or underassisted brakes, delivering firm and immediate bite. These are ideal for hard-edged drivers who wish to keep pedal travel within an appropriate range and still have sufficient bite and braking performance while still maintaining a degree of ease in brake modulation.
• RP-1 pads are suited for drivers who wish to maintain a progressive brake pedal feel for smoother, easier modulation, more so than RP-X, or are looking to lessen any grabbiness in overly aggressive brake setups that are notoriously difficult to modulate. These pads will provide smoother and more consistent braking actuation throughout the pedal travel vs an RP-X or similar pads.
