    Looking for a Turbo Kit?? You came to the right place and you are in good hands. We have sold 1000's of Turbo kits for the 86 platform since 2012 and have installed each brand. We have the expertise to help get you a quality kit. We are here to help. We have several hundred installs under our belt and thousands of kits sold all over the world. Below are some of the most common questions we can answer.

    What we will not help you with is deciding between Turbo and Supercharger. That is part of the process and its your car, build it how you see fit for your needs. Both have Pros and Cons. We call this all part of the learning process and discovery of what will be best for what you want.  You can go discuss and talk to other owners here.

    Is My Turbo Good For Daily Driving 

    All the Turbo kits that we sell on our site are good for street use. We suggest the smaller turbos like the JDL SPEC KIT w/GT2860RS for daily and fast spool up time. The larger turbos are good for track and will make bigger power. 

     

     

    What else do I need for my Turbo Kit 

    All applications need a Tune - We strongly suggest our E-tune w/ Ecutek Products, We have tuned 1000's of cars on this platform and it is the best and easiest way to get your car dialed in. 

    The necessities are 

    •         Ecutek TUNE 
    •         MAP Sensor if not included in the kit
    •         Most applications you will need a front crash bar to replace the OEM Bash bar
    •         We also suggest a welded oil pan to speed up your install process, but it’s not required. 
    •         We highly suggest you have an aftermarket front pipe to match up to the Turbo downpipe

      

    Do I need to go to a DYNO 

    NO - Our E-tune saves you time and money and it works perfectly. Nowadays the ECU in our cars is very smart and has many sensors and from a remote tune, we can see everything going on all the way down to bad fuel or something wrong with the installation.

    What About injectors 

    You don't really need aftermarket injectors until you are over the 350 WHP mark or going with Flex Fuel. Our cars have 2 sets of Injectors that can deliver more than enough fuel to support 95% of the Kits we sell. 

     

    Why do I want a Recirculated Wastegate 

    You can go with the Open Dump option on the JDL kits, but you will need to cut a hole in your aluminum oil pan to allow for safe venting.  The open dump is cool, but it is very loud when the boost comes past the desired boost levels.  It will sound like an open header and be loud on full boost. 

    We highly suggest Open Dump for Race or Track application only

    With getting the Recirc kit you will actually be able to hear your turbo Spool up and Whistle, without it’s not an option and this open dump will over-power your Exhaust sound out the back of the car. Yes, it’s that loud.
